  Melanie Thompson

  EVP, Managing Broker, Fredericksburg

  With over 40 years of Real Estate experience, Melanie serves as CENTURY 21 Redwood Realty Virginia's Principal Broker.  

  She has worn many hats over these years such as the Owner Broker of her own firm from 1991-2012, Virginia Association of Realtors President in 2007, served on the Board of the National Association of Realtors and been recognized as the Realtor of the Year both locally and at the state level.  Currently she sits at the Executive level of the Bright MLS Board of Directors which serves over 100,000 agents in 6 states. 

  Melanie is passionate about training new agents and has helped the company craft their new agent ASCEND program. She is also an avid reader of Industry news and shares with the entire management team any news she thinks would help our agents and their clients. 

  Melanie resides in the Fredericksburg Virginia area and spends time on her Potomac River property with her extended family and many friends.
